On Tuesday 18th October we ran a fantastic workshop with a group of post 16 students to produce more artwork to inspire the lettering on the bridge on Loughborough Road.
We went through our sensory timeline of local history – the shaving foam ‘custard pie’ and bowler hat cut out (which symbolised Fred Karno’s work with Charlie Chaplain in the area) were a big hit!
Then we started making colourful collages linking to the different moments in local history.
Check out some of the finished products! We think they will look amazing worked into the lettering on the bridge. Let us know what you think?
